Virtual Assist Manchester

Remote Executive Assistant supporting SMEs and Founders

Hi, I’m Sarah, founder of Virtual Assist Manchester. I support founders, SMEs and small businesses with high-level executive and operational support—bringing structure, clarity and efficiency to the day-to-day.

With over 20 years’ experience supporting senior leaders, including roles as an Executive Assistant and legal secretary, I step in to manage operations, streamline workflows and give you the space to focus on growth. I have a keen interest in using AI improving workflows to save time.

I work primarily remotely, with the option for in-person collaboration across Manchester. I am an approved member of the Society of Virtual Assistants, with full professional, public and cyber insurance, and I am ICO registered.

Focus on doing what you do best—I’ll take care of the rest.

Systems and Tools

I confidently use tools like Microsoft 365, Notion, Asana, QuickBooks, ChatGPT, Claude and Google Drive to streamline workflows and keep your business running efficiently. I also use Canva, Slack and Fireflies.

I have extensive knowledge around Microsoft 365, having created SharePoint sites from scratch.  I am also skilled in Notion board creation, a flexible digital workspace that combines notes, task management, databases, and collaboration tools—all in one system.

My Experience

I am a skilled executive assistant with experience in executive, personal, committee secretariat, legal secretarial, and office management roles across commercial, corporate, legal, media, and hospitality settings with experience in supporting leaders, including Directors, CEOs, Senior Leadership Teams, and Boards.  I have passion for organisation and bring a friendly, proactive approach to every task.

I stepped into the working world as a legal secretary for my friend’s dad who owned a private practise, and I worked my way up from there.  Fast forward to my mid-to-late twenties I ended up working in the City of London for a top multi-jurisdictional commercial legal firm for nearly 7 years (I thought I wouldn’t make a year in London, turns out I absolutely loved it!).

My most recent career highlight was a temporary role in the Children’s and Education department BBC in MediaCityUK where I was sat next to Gordon the Gopher!

I am happy to provide my CV or a reference on request.
